    Hello,
I have organized a speaker programme on behalf of the UCL Cancer Institute and the Athena Swan Initiative to support women in science. We have an excellent line up of inspirational women speakers coming to tell the people of UCL how they weathered the hard times and the skills that they felt were important to succeed.

I would be very grateful if you could re-tweet my notice and poster to your followers, I am at @SueHadjur. I have sent a couple of tweets to @JennyRohn with the details attached hoping that she could PLEASE retweet as well.
    Many thanks,
    Sue

I’m a member of staff in the department of mathematics and one of my roles is to organise enrichment events for GCSE and A-level students. I’ve been particularly concerned with representation of women in STEM and have a big event coming up at the Royal Institution (‘Celebrating Women in Mathematics’ http://www.rigb.org/education/masterclasses/organisers-page/news/autumn-2013/celebrating-women-in-mathematics).

I will be getting some funding from the Department for Education to run similar events in the future so I was wondering if this could generate some interest in this forum and perhaps attract some potential speakers for the future.

If you are interested in talking to school students about maths and science, please contact me at l.rila@ucl.ac.uk

    Best wishes

    Luciano

Sue, Luciano, thanks for your notes and sorry I failed to see them until now (I don’t think I’m signed up for email alerts, must rectify that). I will tweet both these events.
